I have purchased my second vehicle from Mission Ridge Auto and always have a awesome time and a great experience there. Both Darren and Chris as well as Mike are awesome. Both times were very easy and no hassles. They stood behind my first vehicle and I am confident they will as well. The second time in was even easier as I knew what to expect. the whole process from start to finish with Darren was incredibly easy. From the time I walked in to leaving with my car it was less then 45 minutes, including getting the Jeep insured. Anyone looking for a car or truck, do yourself a favor and check these guys out.
I bought a used truck in June, I’ve been really happy with it and was kind of waiting to review in case something went wrong (it’s 19 years old with 300k…). But it’s been reliable, everything I expected. Chris was good, nice salesman, not pushy. The price was a little higher than I wanted to pay, and they wouldn’t negotiate, but as it was the exact type of truck (Toyota Tacoma)/model I wanted I went ahead. Glad I did!
I have NEVER done this before good or bad about a business. I am a woman in my 40’s who was looking to downsize my vehicle. While shopping, I visited many large dealerships to decide on what car would be the right fit. The experiences varied from dealing with rude, creepy, pushy or just plain ignorant sales guys. After seeing a car that I felt may be ideal for me online at Mission Ridge Auto Sales, I decided to make the drive from Coquitlam to Maple Ridge and check it out. As I entered the lot I was greeted by Darren, the owner. It was so refreshing to be dealing with someone that wasn’t pushy, creepy or ignorant. He let me look at the car on my own to just feel it out and told me to feel free to take it for a spin. “What the hell”? I was thinking. A dealership owner that isn’t breathing down my neck, shadowing me around the lot like as if I’m about to steal something??
Not only did he let me take my time, looking in the car but he gave me honest feedback on the types of cars that he had on his lot. I left the lot that night not buying anything and returned with my husband to test drive a little number I had my eye on before I left the night prior. Darren, again was great! down to earth, informative and honest about the car….and not pushy. We left, telling him we were going to test drive another car at another dealership and he didn’t bad mouth anyone or the other car, in fact the opposite. Told us the car we were looking at was great, encouraging us to look around….. I was stunned! Every other dealership would shit talk other dealers and shame me for looking. After deciding to purchase the car on Darren’s lot, I must have emailed, called and texted him far to many times asking about the car. He always spoke to me with respect, patience and kindness. He never rushed me, was curt or rude. Unreal service.
We purchased the car and picked it up yesterday. Darren and Chris, his employee had the car polished and ready to go. It was getting close for the business to close, but Chris told us not too worry as he wanted to make sure everything was organized just right before we left. Our experience at Darren’s business was amazing from the minute I walked on the lot to moment I drove away. Thank you Darren and Cris for your service. When the time comes to repeat the car search….
I’ll just be searching your lot.
Thanks again! Liz S
Quality used vehicles. Friendly and knowledgeable sales staff. Thanks
I bought a truck from these guys. They were polite very nice & helpful. That don’t try to punch you out and they let you take your time and show you what they have. I recommend checking this place out.
We have purchased five vehicles through Daren and Chris. They are very honest and helpfull. Good after sales follow up and service. They don’t dicker on price much as their pricing is already set quiet fairly. Good guys to deal with.
Chris and Darren are a rare find in car sales. They tell it like it is and are a real pleasure to deal with. Car sales the way you want it to be.
I have bought 4 vehicles from These guys over the last 7 years. And have refered them to many other friends, I have always found them to be very honest and very trustworthy. One vehicle I did buy had a problem, 8 months after I took it home. They fixed the problem for me at a cost of $450.00 to them. They have always been a true pleasure to deal with.
This is the second review I have written in my life. I am 42 years old. I saw a car that I liked on Craigslist and it was at Mission Ridge Auto Sales. I called to ask about hours of operation and got a clear answer. I went to the dealership few days later and walked into the showroom and met Chris. I asked about the car and Chris told me I am welcome to have a look at it, and unlocked the car with a remote key and let me check everything to my hearts content.
I went back inside the dealership and received more information about the car while the whole time I GOT ZERO PUSHY SALES. Nothing! Just Chris talking to me like a friend and also met Darren. Both gentlemen were polite with ZERO sales pitch! I mean nothing. It was heaven to my ears after spending the previous days at multiple sleazy run car dealerships who would sound like infomercials from the second you met them and always pushing “let’s deal, let me put you in this car” BS. Not at this place. While the car wasn’t exactly what I wanted, everything the Craigslist add for it said appeared to be all true.
I told everyone at work about my pleasant experience with this dealership Keep up the great work and thanks! Shawn.
This is the first dealership I’ve been to where I didn’t feel pressure to buy. The person on staff that day seemed to genuinely have my best interests in mind. It made for a relaxed atmosphere and a comfortable buying experience. Buying a car is stressful enough and all you can hope for is a decent deal and some honesty and integrity in the people you are dealing with . i found both at Mission Ridge. I drove off with Hyundai Tucson that low mileage for what I think is a smoking good deal. Highly recommended and worth the drive to Maple Ridge.
Not a huge fan of reviews, but will make an exception in this case as it’s worth noting. Bought a vehicle from Mission Ridge Auto Sales found on Craigslist. Took a chance and drove out to Maple Ridge to check it out. Saw it on a Sunday, went back on Wednesday (after humming and hawing), picked it up Friday. Chris was helpful, respectful and didn’t push (I dislike pushy sales people – most buyers know what they want and don’t need some sales person to sell what they want to sell). That part was pretty basic as far as buying a car goes.
What Chris did next is what makes this dealership stand out – he stood behind his sale by having a repair made that he could have no way of knowing it existed. Without hesitation he just said, “It needs to be fixed right.” He reimbursed me for the shop repair immediately and without hesitation. Hats off to Chris and Mission Ridge Auto for standing behind what every dealer should do – “Customer satisfaction after the sale” Would recommend them to anyone looking to make their next auto purchase.
